The Locals Guide to Dog Friendly Restaurants in Albuquerque, NM

The Locals Guide to Dog Friendly Restaurants in Albuquerque, NM

Albuquerque is a city rich in culinary tradition with its own distinctive flair. While there is an abundance of delicious restaurants, many canine parents want to know the best dog friendly restaurants in Albuquerque. As dogs are now considered a part of the family, countless restaurants have opened up their patios and outdoor areas to four-legged patrons. So, whether you're craving green chile, entree salads, or delicious pizza, there are plenty of fantastic offerings that allow you to bring the pup along.

Here at Wyoming Place Apartments, one of Albuquerques most pet-friendly living communities, we want to help residents find the restaurants that are 100% paw-approved. Weve compiled a list of our six favorite dog-friendly dining spots.

Slate Street Cafe

Located in the heart of downtown Albuquerque, Slate Street Cafe offers contemporary American cuisine with Southwestern flair. The atmosphere is equally chic and inviting, and the menu focuses on freshly sourced ingredients. Diners can choose an array of options, from gourmet sandwiches to the baby greens quinoa salad. Breakfast is available all day, making it the perfect place to get Huevos Rancheros for dinner. With its downtown location, Sleet Street Cafe is a popular place for business lunches and casual diners.

Steel Bender Brewyard

Located in Los Ranchos, Steel Bender Brewyard is a popular spot for both foodies and craft beer enthusiasts. The extensive selection of craft beer pairs nicely with the menu of elevated pub cuisine. Dishes at the Steel Bender go well beyond your standard brewery. Patrons can choose to start with hummus, enjoy a customizable BYO burger, and finish the meal with an exciting stout brownie. The atmosphere is lively and casual, making it a great place to gather with friends.

Best of all, the outdoor patio is dog-friendly. During hotter seasons, fans and misters are deployed to help keep you and Fido cool, making it the perfect place to grab a summertime burger and beer.

Seasons Rotisserie and Grill

With a historic building in the heart of Old Town Albuquerque, Seasons Rotisserie & Grill offers an upscale and comfortable experience. The menu features Southwestern classics, and as their name suggests, they specialize in rotisserie-cooked meats. The rotisserie chicken is far superior to what you'd find at a grocery store, and the herb-crusted lamb loin is celebrated by locals. The ambiance is elegant, making it a great spot for date night in one of Albuquerque's nicest neighborhoods.

Despite its chic atmosphere, Seasons is especially welcoming to dogs in their outdoor seating area. The restaurant receives glowing reviews for its dog friendliness. The staff is excited and eager to serve pooches, and dogs are greeted with large water bowls cooled with ice.

Vinaigrette

If you want a break from southwestern cuisine and want something that is equally healthy and delicious, Vinaigrette is an excellent choice. Located on the historic Route 66, Vinaigrette specializes in handcrafted salads. With over 10 different entree salads to choose from, this is the perfect place to indulge in deliciousness without adding to your waistline. Should you crave something more savory, their handcrafted sandwiches are also excellent. The interior is a bit whimsical, with no shortage of live plants, some of which are actually used as ingredients. The relaxed garden-like atmosphere makes it the perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner.

Tia B's La Waffleria

For a truly New Mexico experience, you can't go wrong with Tia B's La Waffleria. La Waffleria feels less like a restaurant and more like an invitation into someone's home for homemade waffles. Located near the University of New Mexico, this restaurant is celebrated amongst locals. At La Waffleria, you will find waffles that scream authentic New Mexico. The Blue Corn Waffle Rancheros is such an example. If you're more of a traditionalist, La Waffleria also has classic selections like chicken and waffles or strawberries and cream waffles.

No matter which waffle you choose, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend. The restaurant boasts two patios, both of which are dog-friendly. Water bowls are available upon request.

Luca

Few things in life are as satisfying as perfectly cooked Italian food. When it comes to pasta and pizza, we recommend Luca. The restaurant is a certified member of Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, a prestigious organization that ensures its members serve traditional Neapolitan cuisine. With such accreditations, you can rest assured that the wood-fired oven pizzas are cooked to perfection.

While still prestigious, Luca is a dog-friendly restaurant. The outdoor patio is lovely, and leashed dogs are welcome, making it the perfect place to grab an excellent pizza with your doggo.
